the fourth largest lake in the Philippines, is geographically
located between the Provinces of Surigao del Norte and
Agusan del Norte, in the Island of Mindanao . It is also the
deepest with a maximum depth of about 223 m and a mean
depth of about 128 m. It is one of the most productive lakes
in the country ranking only third to Laguna de Bay. The
panoramic view of the lake can be seen through the
Provincial Road, the site of which almost encircle the lake.
Through Maharlika Highway in the South, It starts passing
the Municipalities of Jabonga, Kitcharao then Alegria,
Mainit and Tubod in the North. It takes either one (1) hour
from Butuan City and also from Surigao City.
